"While messing around with a vocoder one day I stumbled
onto the melody for the 'Do you want to party with me'
voice, which is me singing and transposing the notes on the keyboard. Dre was
home that day and he heard what I was doing and came in and started
jamming with me around the idea. I recorded several
drum parts from Dre's Machine drum, and some stuff
from the Hartman, and then it was a few hours working
on the bassline and when the string melody came in I
started to get a goosebump or 2."
